This tutorial was highly requested and now it is here! In this file I tell you how I drew the glass shards for my comic, I give out brush versions, layer modes (both for PS and SAI), opacity value and advice about why I drew the glass in the way I did.

There are two versions of this purchase:

In the simple one, you can get the detailed step-by-step on the black background - this was the original colour I drew the shards on.

• And another step-by-step on a grey background. The layer modes behave differently on a lighter background, the grey version shows what the glass looks like on a not black background.
• In the extra version, I give out the .PSD file of the shard I used for the step-by-step, so you can freely poke around, really dig into my layers and try out what happens if you use differently coloured backgrounds and if you change layer modes/opacity/fill values.
